A toddler with a striking resemblance to John Goodman from ‘Roseanne’ is a TikTok star

A toddler whose parents call him a mini Dan Conner from the TV sitcom “Roseanne,” is a social media star.

Robert “Robbie” Crane of Tampa, Florida will turn 2 years old in August but according to his mom Michelle, he’s always been “a little man.”

“A friend told me, ‘You know, he looks just like Dan Conner,’” Michelle, a mother of three boys, tells TODAY.com of John Goodman’s character on the 1988 series. “I realized she was right.”

Michelle recently posted a TikTok video of Robbie in a tank top and a diaper and followers commented on his likeness to the wisecracking family man with a heart of gold.

The mom visited thrift stores to find Robbie the quintessential “Dan Conner” outfit: Jeans, a buttoned-down flannel shirt and a vest.

When Robbie tried on the outfit, he transformed into his TV doppelganger.

“I posted a video and the next thing I knew, my phone got so many alerts,” she says.

Robbie became a smaller-screen star on TikTok, especially among “Roseanne” aficionados who wrote:

  • “Starring John Goodboy.”

  • “He asked me if I wanted paper or plastic when my friends and I tried to buy some lumber.”

  • “He already owns a chain of Italian restaurants and a night club.”

  • “Little guy looks like he could quote me on a new extension on my home.”

  • “I used to work with him, hard to read but he’s solid.”

  • “Not me watching Roseanne and Dan is wearing almost the same exact shirt and hair.”

  • “We need a mini Roseanne to complete it.”

As a Gen Xer who grew up watching “Roseanne,” Michelle respects the comparisons. “Dan Conner is a good dude,” she says.

Like Dan Conner, Robbie loves watching football with his dad, tearing through the house like a “running back,” dancing and singing the ABC song. His nickname (obviously) is “Dan.”

“Robbie is the sweetest cuddle bug you could imagine with the perfect build for it,” says Michelle.

Michelle says Robbie’s fans want him to dress as Goodman’s other characters: Fred Flintstone in “The Flintstones” and Walter Sobchak from “The Big Lebowski.”

“We’re debating it, since it makes people smile,” she says, adding that her two sons ages 14 and 23, find the videos hysterically funny.

Michelle even took Robbie to the mall wearing cargo shorts and a plaid shirt with a white undershirt.

“Several people said, ‘He looks like a TV dad,” she says. “It’s uncanny.”
