Atlus Will Have a New Game Announcement and More Persona News in 2022

Atlus, the developer and publisher behind the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei franchise, shared some exciting news about 2022 in its New Year message to the fans, including more about Persona-related announcements.

Atlus has had a great year with the worldwide release of Shin Megami Tensei V, which received favorable reviews from outlets around the world, and was also an enjoyable experience for the community in 2021.

Looking forward to 2022, there are some big expectations from Atlus. After releasing Persona 4 Golden on Steam, now PC players are desperate for the announcement of Persona 5 for PC as well.

On the other hand, those who have already experienced Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers, are awaiting a brand new Persona adventure, and maybe the first teaser from Persona 6.

Atlus Will Announce a New Game in 2022 A Persona 25th Anniversary Surprise

As shared in the new year message, Atlus promised the announcement of a new project in 2022 following the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Remastered.

Also, the publisher teased more Persona-related announcements to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

Unfortunately, we can’t even guess what the new project could be, but we hope the Persona-related announcement sheds some light on the future of the franchise as well as teasing a little bit of info on when we can expect Persona 6.

Atlus also revealed that Shin Megami Tensei V managed to hit over 800,000 unit sales, which made it the best-selling title of the franchise.

Other than Persona, we could expect to see more from the next Season Pass of Guilty Gear Strive and the upcoming characters to the game.

Persona 5 Royal is now available on PS4 and PS5. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will also launch on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime in March 2022. This is a fighting spin-off based on Persona 4.
