“Attempted murder”- Twitter users call for charges to be filed on the guy who VICIOUSLY pushed a Packers fan down the stairs in the Eagles-Bears game

The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears have one of the most intense rivalries in any sport. Both teams play in the same division which definitely fuels the rivalry as they end up playing twice every season.

Packers fans and Bears fans chirp at each other at any chance they get. One such thing happened at the Bears-Eagles game on Sunday when a guy wearing a Packers hoodie got into an altercation with a Bears fan. The reason for the fight is unknown.

A video that circulated online shows a guy pushing down a Packers fan at Soldier Field. The Packers fan seems to have started the fight as he was the one who initiated the physical altercation. The video shows two guys getting into each other’s faces before getting physical. The Bears fan got a hold of the Packers fan and pushed him down the stairs. The whole stadium was surprisingly cheering when the Packers fan fell head-first down the stairs and took a bumpy ride.

Luckily, the Packers fan didn’t seem to be heavily injured as he got right back and climbed all the way up to face the Bears fan once again. Now sports rivalry is one thing, but pushing a guy down the stairs in a sporting event (or in any situation!) is just too much. Ironically, the “Packers fan” was also wearing a Chicago Bears scarf. Maybe that’s what started the whole thing.

NFL fans on social media want charges filed against the Bears fan who was seen on a video pushing a Packers fan down the stairs. Fans believe that no matter what happened before the fight, nothing warrants an assault like this. Here are some of the reactions.

That was an assault, I don't care what the problem was, that incident should have resulted in an arrest and criminal charges. Where were the cops? And then you have a multitude of commenters on here applauding this. Y'all are complicit on this assault.

Wow! That could be attempted murder… Nothing a fan could say should ever prompt this kind of reaction. Assault with intent

The big dude instigated it but that response was completely unwarranted what a loser

This thread is pretty sick. And that was assault. And the fact that one did anything is even worse. So Chicago fans apparently up there with Browns.

I hope the guy was OK. That was a hard fall. This is not funny and shame on the people who make jokes.

That guy should be arrested for assault . Why is this funny again. Is attempted murder funny!? This could have ended in a really bad way.

— Greg Whitcraft (@Victoralert1) December 21, 2022

This isn't funny. That guy is likely hurt and humiliated.

Bears fans, however, found the whole thing funny as they keep making jokes about it. The Packers and Bears have had an Intense rivalry on the field for almost 100 years now. They both play in the NFC North division. The Packers lead the series all-time against the Bears with a record of 104-95-6. The Packers currently have the most wins in NFL history as well.

The rivalry doesn’t seem to slow down and has reached new heights of intensity in recent times, thanks to the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ statement that he owns the Chicago Bears after he beat them in a regular season game back in 2021.
