Baker Mayfield is now on the Carolina Panthers, the former Cleveland Brown has already taken one step in the right direction by proving his critics wrong, nobody anticipated he would immediately become the starter over Sam Darnold who knew the team’s offense in detail but Baker did that, his next challenge is one that is extremely close to his heart, he has been itching for this and cannot wait to execute it. The week 1 game at Cleveland Browns.
We all know how the split between Baker Mayfield and the Browns’ organization went down, it was the worst situation for any player and he had to endure months of uncertainty over his immediate future. However, now that the dust has settled, Baker is looking to get even with Cleveland by attempting to defeat them in the first week. He also made a statement to a reporter after the Panthers last preseason game, “I’m going to f**k them up,” so we know Baker has a grudge against the team and that he will do everything in his power to ensure the Panthers come out on top of that game.

Baker Mayfield and Myles Garrett’s beef has amped up the excitement for the Browns-Panthers showdown in week 1:
Myles Garrett, the best defensive end for the Cleveland Browns responded to Baker’s comments about beating his former team. “We’ll take it and we’ll use it, and I’m hoping for a great matchup. I don’t think any less of him because he’s going out there and doing the same thing he did when he was with us. He’s the same guy personally, and maybe we’ll see a different Baker when we get on the field. Who knows?” he concluded.
Myles was indirectly telling that he cannot wait to sack Baker and respond by actions rather than just words. Now, if you know Myles Garrett, you also know he is not to be played with. He is as initimidating of a player as there is, the man is built like a TANK. Not to forget, this is the same guy who swung his helmet at Mason Rudolph a couple of seasons ago, he is the last person you would want to end up on bad terms with. NFL fans reacted to Myles responding to Baker’s comments and how the Panthers QB may have just put himself into deeper trouble with his choice of words.
Watch out for his helmet Baker !!

Do not be surprised if you see a helmet or two swung at that game.
That’s optimistic, not bad, but never underestimate the Browns defense, they got some amazing talent.
Myles Garrett has already made a tombstone with Baker Mayfield’s name on it.
Is this Skip Bayless’ burner account?
He got set up by an inexperienced fan girl reporter and then she did not have the journalistic integrity to let it go. She went for the fame points instead.

Baker reportedly made these comments off the record but hey, once it is out there, there’s no going back.
You would think at some point Baker would show some maturity and keep his mouth shut. This could be a harbinger of things to come in Carolina if he keeps this up. Released and relegated to backup status the rest of his career.

🏈🥷
He would have if things had ended well with the Browns but seeing how unique that situation was and all that he endured, at some point or the other, we were bound to see him truly get emotional and make a statement of this nature.
Baker does his own version of dancing on someone’s logo
— John Ardel (@HenrichsenJohn) August 31, 2022
If Baker does go in there and defeat them and then dances on the Browns logo, that’s bigger than a Super Bowl victory for him.
Absolutely.
I just want to know if Rookie Left Tackle Ikem Ekwonu will be charged for the assault that’s about to take place on Baker week 1 🤣🤣
— The_Brownie_Elf (@TheBrownieElf1) August 30, 2022
The entire Browns’ defense will be on Baker.
Just think, this time last year you were claiming Baker Mayfield was the best Quarterback in the AFC North. lmao

Welcome to the NFL, tables turn here quickly!
I might actually be a little intimidated if I stood next to a huge guy like Myles Garrett. He's an awesome dude, but once he puts those pads on and the whistle blows, he's terrifying 😂
— Arthur (@Crystal2Deep) August 30, 2022
If I see Myles Garrett charging towards me, i’m voluntarily dropping the ball, a hit from that man would have me acting up like Antonio Brown.
I would not count on that just yet. Week one is always a problem with the Browns.

Will the Browns break the week 1 curse or not?
With football right around the corner, it will be exciting to see how this matchup turns out!
