On September 1st, Genshin Impact 2.1 Update was released and it added tons of new stuff to the game. Apart from three new characters, we also received two new regions, Serai and Watatsumi Islands. Genshin Impact 2.2 Leaks: Banner Rerun 5-star Character Leaked
According to renowned Genshin Impact leaker abc64, the 5-star characters in the 2.2 Update could be Hu Tao and/or Childe. Childe was released back in the 1.1 Update in November last year and has already got a banner rerun in April this year as well. Hu Tao on the other hand was released in March this year.
2.2 Rerun Info
Hu Tao and/or (possibly) Childe.
There is not much data to go off of, so take this with more grains of salt than usual. I'm quite confident at least one of them will make a banner appearance, but this is *subject to change* as always.#GenshinImpact

Unlike the previous leaks, this one is a tad uncertain according to the leaker. Usually character release dates and banner info is correct most of the time, but leaks haven’t turned out to be that accurate this time around. In fact, it was speculated that the 2.2 Update will be featuring Yae, but the only new character we will be getting is Thoma. It’ll be interesting to see which of the two, or even both, make their way into the game.
