Tyson Fury has left some fans concerned for his health after pictures emerged just days before his heavyweight title fight with Deontay Wilder.

The Gypsy King has been in America for the past few months preparing for his WBC heavyweight clash with the unbeaten American at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Just one year ago, even the most ardent Fury fan would have struggled to envisage the 30-year-old ever being in a fit enough state to step through into a ring, let alone challenge for a world title.

After overcoming a drink and drugs-fuelled state of depression, the undefeated Brit made his comeback with two convincing wins against mediocre opposition to set up a mouth-watering clash with fellow undefeated heavyweight Wilder.

However, despite earning plenty of plaudits for shifting an enormous amount of weight, some fans are now concerned Fury has taken it too far.

"He wasn't just fat, he was a state." 😳

A picture shared by the shortest fighter  on the undercard, Mark Anthony Barriga, showed not only just the contrast in height between the two men, but the incredible amount of weight lost by Fury in just 12 months.

The Brit is quite clearly a shadow of his former self, but is it too much too soon?

Facing the knockout artist Wilder at 100% fitness is a dangerous proposition, so fans are hoping a brutal weight cut has not left the 6"9 ins maverick below his required capacity.
