Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece has been frequently targeted by many fans for allegedly being sexist towards women characters. There have been many instances where people have pointed out Oda san allegedly objectifying women in some way or the other. The majority of it is because of his method of drawing women characters in his manga.

Oda’s illustrations of female characters in the series have been criticized a lot of times by fans. These illustrations showcase women with unusual body standards that promote a wrong message to the audience of One Piece. And these body standards are not limited to one character. They have been a common occurrence in the story.
Another claim against Oda is that he generally doesn’t give any major role to the female characters. While they certainly have a vast variety of female characters, they have been only used for plot direction. These claims have been recurrent since the beginning of the One Piece series.
