Zeta-Jones is on a bit of a career upswing lately, giving her plenty of opportunities to stunt on red carpetsâŠand leading to this frankly kind of hilarious moment when she showed up to the premiere of her new Disney Plus show National Treasure: Edge of HistoryâŠin an outfit clearly evocative of her Wednesday character Morticia Addams.

Ma'am, you look absolutely gorgeous, but did you get your invites mixed up?
The Oscar winner and home-goods company proprietor is always one for Old Hollywood glamour, and speaking of Glamour, she shared with us one decidedly unglamorous moment when she was caught unawares and realized that moms tend to be right more than not:
âThe best beauty advice my mom ever gave me was to make the most of yourself,â Zeta-Jones told us. âShe used to say, âYouâll never know when you'll meet the president of the United States.â That's a bizarre thing, right? Especially since I grew up in WalesâŠ. But then, one day, I was in Washington, DC, because I was going to be giving Sean Connery [an award] at the Kennedy Center Honors. The morning of, I was going on a tour of the Christmas decorations at the White House. It was 8 a.m. I didn't have a scrap of makeup on my face and was wearing a baseball cap with my hair in a scrunchie. Then they let me take a look at the Oval Office. Bill Clinton was chipping golf balls outsideâand then he came in. All I was thinking was, My mother told me to make the most of myself, you never know when youâre going to meet the president! I didnât even listen to anything he said to me. I was just thinking, Oh my God, my mother told me this, and look at me, not even a lick of mascara.â
