Cincinnati Bengals cut punter Drue Chrisman in favor of Westerville South product Brad Robbins

Update: The Cincinnati Bengals will be cutting La Salle and Ohio State product Drue Chrisman in favor of rookie Brad Robbins as the team's punter, according to Adam Schefter.

Chrisman missed the first part of training camp with an undisclosed injury. The Bengals drafted Robbins, a Michigan product and Westerville South graduate, in the sixth round of this year's NFL Draft.

The Cincinnati Bengals' backup quarterback competition was won by Jake Browning, according to a report from Pro Football Network's Jay Morrison.

Trevor Siemian and Reid Sinnett competed with Browning during training camp and in the preseason for the backup role behind Joe Burrow. Sinnett also was cut, according to multiple reports.

Burrow has yet to participate in practice since suffering a calf injury on July 27. Burrow went through his pregame warmup before the Bengals' preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers, but hasn't been seen throwing publicly since.

The deadline for NFL teams to cut down to 53 players is 4 p.m. today.

Here are other players reportedly among the Bengals' cuts

Quarterback Trevor Siemian
