**Warning – Major Spoilers Ahead**
Episode 4 of Peacemaker had a lot to unpack for DC fans, particularly regarding Murn and Chris’ ambiguous older brother.
Up ahead, we explore what happened in the current episode, who Chris’ older brother is, and the ultimate question: Did Peacemaker kill his brother?
Created by James Gunn, Peacemaker follows the titular anti-hero who joins a black ops squad after the events of The Suicide Squad, in order to assist in the elimination of butterfly creatures around the world.

Peacemaker episode 4
Episode 4 included a major twist at the end of the installment when it was revealed that Clemson Murn was a Butterfly. But the episode also raised some questions regarding Chris’ older brother.
During the episode, viewers were made aware of Chris’ somewhat abusive childhood, when Auggie was training him to kill, and a connection was established between this and the death of his brother.
It was implied that Chris was “involved with” his brother’s death, which is something Chris has visions about – along with his abusive childhood – whilst getting drunk and high at the end of the episode.
Who is Chris’ older sibling?
Peacemaker does not have any noted brother in the comic book source material and we’ve still to find out the character’s name in the show.
We know from his brother’s introduction that Chris had a close bond with his older brother, as the latter taught him about the birds and the bees and listened to vinyl records with him.
While we find out that Chris has a lot of good memories with his brother, it is also suggested that he has many bad memories with him too.

Did Peacemaker kill his brother?
It is currently not known for certain whether Chris killed his brother or not, but specific flashbacks present a counterargument.
We learn from Harcourt that Chris struggles with the memory of his brother’s death, which is clearly traumatizing to him. Flashbacks revealed that his brother was punched by someone, which later led to his seizure.
It is entirely possible that Chris was forced by Auggie to kill this mysterious person, as we later see Chris stabbing somebody.
Perhaps Auggie feels like Chris should have protected his brother, which is why he feels like Chris was “involved with” his death.
TV Talk: #Peacemaker So, is the audience supposed to question if Chris is a hero, after we witness him stabbing his brother? It might explain the need for needing doves to clean murder act away from reality, but it doesn't…
