Everything You Need To Know Before Watching Season 2

The new season of Ultraman is going to release soon, so here’s the recap of Ultraman season 1 to refresh your memories about what happened in the previous season.

Given the amazing animation, storyline, and everything that one looks for in an anime, there’s no reason why the fans are not waiting for the Ultraman Season 2. Also, it would be interesting to see what new challenges Ultraman would face in the new season.

Ultraman Season 1 Recap

The episode starts with Shinjiro visiting the Ultraman museum along with his father, Hayata. Shinjiro is fascinated with Ultraman and his powers. While playing in the museum, Shinjiro falls from the top floor to the ground, but to everyone’s surprise, he doesn’t get even a scratch. Hayata understands at that point that Shinjiro is not a normal boy. Hayata meets Ide later that night and expresses his concern regarding Shinjiro. Ide then takes Hayata to the hidden SSSP office inside the museum, where he shows him a new threat to humanity. After watching that video, Hayata gets back his memories of Ultraman.

Now the time has passed, and Shinjiro has grown up. He is already aware of his superhuman abilities but doesn’t know where they come from. One day Bemular approaches Shinjiro and starts to attack him, but Hayata saves him, revealing to him that he is Ultraman. Now the battle between Hayata and Bemular starts. In the chopper where Shinjiro is with Ide, the latter tells Shinjiro that Ultraman merged with his father.

A massive blast occurs on the battlefield, after which Ide and Shinjiro prepare to help Hayata defeat the alien. Shinjiro transforms into Ultraman and starts to fight Bemular. After a gruesome fight, Bemular escapes. Shinjiro is admitted to the hospital, where he meets Edo for the first time. Edo gives his introduction and tells Shinjiro that his people once killed Ultraman and invaded the earth. Edo continues telling that the reason why aliens stopped invading the Earth was because of a peace agreement. But everything changed after the arrival of Bemular. Ide tells that, along with Bemular, other aliens are drawn by Bemular as well.

Shinjiro and Ide are informed about an accident. Shinjiro appears at the accident spot on time and saves the driver. This incident makes him a public figure. Later, Moroboshi informs everyone about an alien who is killing people, after which Ultraman prepares to fight him. While fighting, the alien runs towards the city, and Moroboshi informs about it to Edo and Ide. Edo says that they want everyone to know about the alien existence. Alien is able to overpower Ultraman, after which Ide tells him that they will now remove the limiter from his suit. By removing the limiter, his suit will be able to perform to its fullest for three minutes. Finally, Ultraman is able to win the battle, but Bemular is watching everything from a distance.

A strange alien known as Igaru is shown who seems to be in love with Rena. But reading someone’s message insulting her, he hunts that person down and them. Moroboshi takes Shinjiro with him to a place where all the aliens reside. There he meets Jack and asks for the information regarding the case. Inspector Endo and his partner infiltrate the place of the incident where they find the alien, after which they understand why SSSP took over the case.

A strange machine starts to attack Moroboshi and other soldiers, but Ultraman appears and helps them seize it. Meanwhile, Kurata figures out that the victims of the case are those who are posting mean things about Rena on her blogs. Hayata meets Ide and wonders why Bemular left him alive while he could have easily killed him. Endo and Kurata prepare for a sting operation by posting nasty comments about Rena on her blog. On the other hand, Jack informs Moroboshi that he has found the suspect he was looking for. Instead of the Igaru, a completely different alien appears. Endo and Kurata are saved by Moroboshi, who transforms into Ultraman and start to battle with him, and very easily, he is able to defeat the alien.

Reptile Kaiju goes on a rampage to kill Shinjiro, after which they engage in a battle. At first, Shinjiro hesitates to kill him, but later, he eliminates him. Jack shows a video to Ide where some people bully Igaru and take his communication device. Rena is ready for her show, but an alien is shown disguised in the staff dress. Igaru is running towards the concert, knowing that Rena is in danger. But Endo and Kurata intercept him, after which he convinces them that Rena is in danger. An alien appears in the concert, after which both Shinjiro and Moroboshi turn into Ultraman and fight him. Suddenly from nowhere, Bemular also appears and joins the fight. Igaru arrives in order to save Rena but loses his life while fighting the alien.

The alien then reveals his true purpose for being there and discloses that three boys were behind all the serial killings. He continues speaking that the boys hired an alien to do this work and made it look like Igaru was behind all this. At school, Seiji Hokuto, a new boy, joins the school and demands to meet Shinjiro. He tells Shinjiro that he knows about his Ultraman identity. Shinjiro discusses it with Jack later on. While Shinjiro is at the museum, he meets Rena, and he wonders why she is here despite hating Ultraman. A robbery takes place in a casino, and Ultraman appears there on time. But surprisingly, he beats the robbers and takes the money for himself, probably a fake Ultraman.

Seiji meets Shinjiro again and offers him to be his friend. After Shinjiro leaves, Seiju takes out his communication device and gives updates to someone. Shinjiro gets an emergency call informing him about an alien invasion. As the alien is about to kill Shinjiro, the third Ultraman arrives and saves him. The new Ultraman turns out to be Seiji, and he defeats the alien very easily.

We see a glimpse of the past where Shijo hires an alien to prepare his Ultraman suit. Alien Adad meets Bemular and discusses with him that according to his theory, he was saving the aircraft rather than destroying it. On the other hand, Rena visits the museum again and has a discussion about Ultraman with Shinjiro. He suddenly receives a call regarding an alien attack, and Seiji is keeping taps on Shinjiro’s phone calls. Before Shinjiro and Moroboshi reach there, Seiji has already defeated the alien, and now he wants to meet the SSSP members. Seiji conveys his thoughts about joining the SSSP team and creating a place where aliens and humans can coexist.

After finding out that Seiji is misusing his powers, Shinjiro engages in an argument with him, after which the two start to battle in their Ultraman form. Moroboshi appears on time and easily defeats Seiji. Bemular investigates Seiji and finds out that he is looking for the one responsible for the airplane disaster. Rena comes to meet Shinjiro again, and while they are having a conversation, two men are about to fall from a building. Shinjiro saves them on time, but Rena finally gets to know that Shinjiro is Ultraman.

Ide shows the list of passengers on the place that blew up in the past, and to everyone’s surprise, Shijo was on that plane. Edo shows a photo of some aliens to Seiji who are behind the airplane incident and also tells him about their whereabouts. Seiji heads off to the place where those aliens are hiding, and Yappol SSSP members ask for help to save him. Yapool says that those aliens were the ones behind that airplane incident, and they wanted to kill the family members of the investigation team on that plane. As for the Bemular, he says that he was there to prevent that incident but was only able to save Seiji and three members of the research team family. Finally, Yapool reveals that Star Cluster Council was the one who hired those aliens for the attack.

The team finally heads to the place where the aliens are hiding. As soon as Moroboshi tries to open the door, a blast occurs, injuring him and several others. Aliens easily overpower Shinjiro and Moroboshi, and Seiji is looking at everything from a distance. He remembers his past with Yuko and prepares for a battle. Initially, Seiji easily overpowers the aliens, but then he starts to lose. In the meantime, Moroboshi and Shinjiro recover themselves and start to fight again. An alien is about to kill Seiji, but he chops his arm and saves himself. After a long fight, Seiji is finally able to defeat the alien boss. But surprisingly, he gets alive again. Shinjiro saves Seiji by releasing his limiter and defeating the alien very easily.

Alien dies, but a ray of light is released from his weapon, which activates a rocket that is about to hit Japan. But Bumular destroys the rocket, and everyone is surprised to see this. He then takes Seiji and promises to save his life. Season one ends with everything getting back to normal. So this was the complete recap of Ultraman Season 1.
