Fishers, May 3, 2004 - Organizers of the annual Freedom Fest in Holland Park plea for a dry parade.
The event's director is seeking help from the Town Council to stop the annual drenching from super-soaking squirt guns toted by youngsters along the parade route.
According to WTHR's newsgathering partner, the Indianapolis Star, people blame the soakers for disabling a golf cart, drenching an antique police car and frustrating parade participants.
This year's festival is June 26th and 27th at Holland Park.
The festival serves as an annual tribute to Independence Day.
