Cloud cover is back Saturday morning and will be difficult to clear out heading into the afternoon for coastal communities. Because of the marine layer, there could be some drizzle, otherwise dry conditions will persist through the weekend.
Surf will be elevated by Sunday with wave heights near 6-9 feet with sets from 10-12 ft. A high surf advisory will be in place 4 p.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Our rain chances look to increase heading into Monday as a cold front approaches. There's a chance of rain Monday night with increased chances by Tuesday and Wednesday. As it stands currently, rainfall amounts for the southern portion of the county will be from 0.25-0.50'' with higher amounts over north county.
After Wednesday our weather pattern dries out, but rain weather models are hinting at more rain chances next weekend.
