Finally, "I do"
"It feels like mission accomplished, quite frankly," Rafael Silva says of finally seeing his character, Carlos, wed TK (Ronen Rubinstein) in the season 4 finale of 9-1-1: Lone Star — and EW has an exclusive first look at the ceremony ahead of Tuesday's two-hour finale.
"Tragedy will strike"
Rubinstein says it was "really special and surreal" filming "In Sickness and in Health." But let's not forget that co-creator and showrunner Tim Minear has teased that "tragedy will strike" as well. "There was a moment during the reception that plays into the last minutes of the episode, and the entire cast was in tears," he previously told EW. "They weren't acting. They were just all incredibly moved."
Worlds collide
"It felt like a community coming together to celebrate this very special moment," Silva says of all the recurring guest stars who joined the cast for the wedding scenes. Here, Carlos' ex-wife, Iris (Lyndsy Fonseca), hits the dance floor with Marjan (Natacha Karam) and the firefighter's new beau, Paul (John Clarence Stewart). Fun fact: Stewart and Karam are dating in real life as well.
Family time
"It feels like a blockbuster film, and for the central focus of that to be the Tarlos wedding... it makes me a little emotional," says Rubinstein, here with his onscreen father Rob Lowe as Owen Strand.
Man of the cloth
Tommy (Gina Torres) brings Pastor Trevor (DB Woodside) fully into the fold as her date — though Paul (Brian Michael Smith) will officiate the ceremony.
With Grace
Grace (Sierra McClain) and Judd (Jim Parrack) look on at the reception. But how is Judd's son, Wyatt (Jackson Pace), doing after his accident last week?
Going strong
While we haven't seen much of their relationship on screen, the romance between Paul and Austin Fire Department HR rep Asha (Amanda Payton) continues to blossom.
Love at first... honky-tonk
"I think it's incredible to look back and it all started with asking for a dance partner at a honky-tonk and look at us now, we're dancing our way into marriage," Rubinstein says. "It felt like bliss, it felt like joy, and it felt like love," Silva adds of filming the wedding.
Firehouse love story
Carlos and TK aren't the only first-responder romance on Lone Star. Nancy (Brianna Baker) and Mateo (Julian Works) enjoy a dance... and likely avoid talking about the bail money he owes her?
