Guide for Batman: Arkham Knight

This DLC pack consists of 7 standalone achievements; each unrelated to the others and each requiring specific objectives in particular AR challenges. They are listed here in alphabetical order, but they can be completed in any order.

Secrets of the Batcave

AR Challenge: Batcave (Predator)

For this achievement, you will need to complete the challenge twice; once with Batman and once with Nightwing. You cannot take any damage, and you must take out all the enemies with beatdowns (cn_B + mash cn_X). If you sneak up on an enemy and perform a beatdown, this will alert the other enemies. However, if you run up behind an enemy (by holding cn_A), he will hear you and be surprised for a moment as he suddenly spots you. If you then perform a beatdown during this time, other enemies will not become alerted. They will only converge if one of the other enemies finds the unconscious body during his patrol and calls it out to the others.

Be aware that there are cloaking enemies on the map, which are not visible through walls in detective vision, and are hard to spot in detective vision with a direct line of sight. It is recommended to toggle detective vision on and off throughout your attempt, to ensure you are not caught off-guard by a cloaking enemy and shot, thus making you start over.

Remember that you cannot glide with Nightwing, so plan your travelling across the map accordingly during your run with him.

Pick off the enemies one-by-one, making sure none of them will discover you along their patrol route as you stun and beatdown an isolated thug. A good starting pattern is to jump the first gap straight ahead onto the upper level and run up behind the enemy walking to the right to get him first. Then you can grapple up and move around the vantage points as you scope out the area for another isolated thug. Once you've completed this with both characters without taking any damage, you will earn:

Silent Night, Deadly Night

AR Challenge: Silent Knight (Predator)

For this achievement, you will need to complete the challenge twice; once with Batman and once with Robin. You cannot take any damage, and you must take out all the enemies with knockout smashes (press cn_X during a silent takedown cn_Y). This will alert all enemies and make them investigate.

There are 3 medics in this challenge, so prioritize taking them out first. Pick off enemies one-by-one, and look for opportunities to quickly get them while they run to investigate someone you just took out, or while they are walking away after investigating the knocked out thug. When there are a few enemies left, they will become terrified, meaning they will continuously walk around while flipping around every few seconds to look behind them. Be sure to time your entry accordingly so you can initiate the silent takedown and knockout smash. Getting spotted by the enemies is fine, as long as they don't damage you. Once you've completed it with both characters, you will earn:

What the Butler Saw

AR Challenge: Wayne Manor (Predator)

For this achievement, you cannot use any gadgets (including the grapple), and you must not take any damage (enemies shooting in your direction but not landing any hits is OK), as Batman. The only thing you can use is detective vision. You do not need to earn any of the stars.

This AR Challenge has the following notable enemies:

  • Detective mode jammer
  • Medic (can revive up to 3 enemies)
  • Land mines
  • Enforcer with minigun

There are many ways to approach this challenge, and you can take as much time as you want. In any case, it is recommended to leave the enforcer with the minigun for last, as it takes a long time to neutralize him. One starting method is to immediately sneak around the corridor on the left to silently takedown the guard walking out, then immediately walk across to the other corridor and take out the detective mode jamming enemy before hiding in the floor grates. The enforcer will notice the fallen thug, and all remaining enemies will converge on him to investigate. If the enforcer is far enough away and the enemies are isolated, you can perform a FEAR takedown on them, or you can wait for them to spread out and pick them off one by one with silent takedowns, trying to prioritize the medic, followed by the enemy with landmines. Once you have taken out all the normal thugs, sneak up behind the enforcer, strike him with cn_X and keep mashing it while countering his attacks with cn_Y. Once you beat all the enemies, you will complete the AR challenge, and if you did it without taking any damage and without using any gadgets (except detective mode), you will earn:
