I Am Legend 2 is coming along nicely.
The sequel to Will Smith’s 2007 zombie movie was first announced in March 2022, but its star Michael B. Jordan recently issued an exciting update.
"We're still working on the script and getting that up to par," he tells People. "It doesn't have a release date or anything like that. I'm not sure exactly where we're going to be filming that one, but I'm really excited to get in front of the camera with him. Being somebody that I've looked up to for a really long time, to be able to work with Will is something I'm really looking forward to. I'm really excited."

I Am Legend is based on author Richard Matheson's 1954 novel of the same name. It follows Robert Neville, a scientist living with his dog in a completely deserted New York City. Well, it’s not completely deserted - it’s also populated with flesh-eating zombies, Darkseekers, who only come out at night.
In the theatrical ending, Neville kills himself and the Darkseekers attacking him with a grenade. That’s why I Am Legend 2 incorporates the alternate ending - the ending of the novel - in which Neville escapes his lab with the cure.
Smith told ET last month, "I think it's looking good. [We have some] really solid ideas... I think we're going to make it on screen together."
