Lauren Boebert's NSFW theater tryst comes back to bite her as she compares 'pro-Palestine protests' to 'insurrections'

DENVER, COLORADO: Republican firebrand Lauren Boebert found herself at the center of controversy as social media erupted against her response to a pro-Palestine protest at the Colorado State Capitol.

The incident occurred during Day Two of the Colorado General Assembly's special session on property tax relief, setting a tense tone for discussions.

Disruption at the Capitol

In response to heightened security measures at the Capitol, with closed galleries, increased officers, and restricted parking, pro-Palestinian protesters successfully disrupted proceedings on Saturday morning, November 18.

The group briefly shut down the House, displaying the Palestinian flag in the gallery before being escorted out. Undeterred, they moved to the third floor, where they hung the flag over the railing before being removed by state patrol officers.

The Colorado Republican party condemned the protesters on social media, accusing them of being "disgusting pro-Hamas activists" and disrupting the special session. The party criticized Colorado Democrats, alleging radicalism and a lack of genuine support for Israel.

"Disgusting pro-Hamas activists are disrupting the #coleg Special Session. They are shouting there is no 'Jewish State,' yelling at lawmakers, & demanding a ceasefire while screaming they will 'be back' as they are removed," they wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

"What does @McCluskieforCO & @COHouseDem do? They invite them to come back to the Capitol. Colorado Democrats are radical & do not truly support #Israel," they added.

Lauren Boebert faces criticism and backlash

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert echoed these sentiments in a repost, stating, "Yet again, the Left can have all the 'insurrections' they want without any issue. This behavior is an absolute disgrace."

However, Boebert's response sparked a wave of criticism on social media. Many users mocked her, drawing parallels to a previous scandal where she was filmed engaging in inappropriate behavior during a theater date.

"Hey that kinda looks like your favorite theater, Handy McGranny!" one responded, referring to the halls of the Colorado Capitol building.

"Does a Dem insurrection justify a MAGA one, Handy Boebert?" another wrote.

"If you stayed in high school, you would’ve learned the difference between a protest and an insurrection," someone else added.

"The only absolute disgrace here is you!" another fumed.

Lauren Boebert's theater scandal

It's worth noting that Lauren Boebert has apologized multiple times for a theater date that went viral earlier in the year, resulting in her ejection from a performance of 'Beetlejuice: The Musical'.

During the incident, she was seen openly vaping, engaged in inappropriate behavior with her companion, and faced consequences for her actions.

In a prior interview with One America News Network, Boebert attributed her behavior to being "maybe overtly animated" and expressed her eccentricity, stating, “I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time, was told to kinda settle it down a little bit, which I did, but then, my next slip up was taking a picture. I was a little too eccentric … I’m on the edge of a lot of things.”

These remarks added to a written apology where Boebert expressed regret for the unwanted attention brought to the community, acknowledging that her actions "simply fell short" of her values, according to The Guardian.
