It seems like everyone has a crush on Little Big Town, and that's no surprise given that their latest single, "Girl Crush," is currently in the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs chart. But the group had to go through some pretty childish games in order to come out on top. Several radio stations dropped the hit song, originally thinking it was about a lesbian relationship (it's not—nor should that matter). Country music rallied to support Little Big Town and opened a dialogue that needed to exist in a still relatively conservative industry. At the ACMs in Dallas (where LBT won Vocal Group of the Year), we sat down with Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook (who was on vocal rest) to discuss the "controversy," their own crushes, and more.

Glamour: You guys have been together since 1998, which is quite an achievement. What's your secret, whether you work in a band or in an office?
Karen Fairchild: If [the guys] listen to us, things go well! [Laughs]
Phillip Sweet: Ha-ha, that's true in life too.
Kimberly Schlapman: Says the happily married man!
Karen: We care about each other, we take care of each other, we communicate well, we over communicate, and if there's something that bothers somebody, we get it out there and then move on. Creatively, we're like-minded, so we trust each other and respect each other. They don't have to ask me what I think about something. They know.
Glamour: Let's talk "Girl Crush." It's probably one of the greatest things to happen to country music in a long time because it's started a conversation that needed to happen. Agree?
