Lizzo’s weight loss journey began in 2020, when she revealed she was on a 10-day smoothie detox regimen. Her fans did not well receive her detox plan.

The singer chose a vegan diet to lose weight. She had to follow a strict diet plan that included avoiding sugar and salt. And was also told not to eat unhealthy processed foods like pasta, pizza, cheeseburgers, or tacos. She was advised to incorporate more vegetables into her diet and to consume as many as she desires.

Lizzo’s diet did not require her to reduce her calorie intake. Her nutritionist allowed her to eat healthy foods all day. To balance the calorie intake and burning process, she needed to stick to a regular workout routine. As a result, she made it a point to eat healthily and exercise regularly.

The singer admitted in one of her interviews that she prefers a plant-based diet and natural protein-rich foods.
