I sure wont say you're wrong, I just can't recall ever seeing any pics of them, especially the ones like Lionel models, they appear to be different than the ones that were used with the turbines, which those were from the Little 800's with the 12 wheel tenders rather than the pedestal bed tenders like on the Big 800's, the Big Challengers and the Big Boys. I am familiar with the N&W's aux tenders, and I believe that SP used some too. I am somewhat surprized that none of the western RR's ever used track pans like the NYC did back East.
