Not so much about lowest h'caps, its more about the best pairs - those that Ham & egg it well, games compliment each other etc.
When I was a team captain, I'd stick my best pairings out at the top, hide my worst ones in the middle and save a little steady Eddy pairing to go out last just in case you need that fall back point.
Of course, if some play like plonkers on the day, you might as well draw names from a hat!!
