Monster Slayer Have Multiplayer, Co-op or PVP?

One of the most surprising video game announcements of the past year is The Witcher: Monster Slayer – CDProjektRed’s answer to Pokemon GO and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

The game sees players explore real-world locations in order to fulfil their Witcher fantasies of hunting down monsters and completing quests. There are tons of different creatures to find, each with different rarity and difficulty levels.

Like most of these games, there will certainly be social elements as players go out exploring the world, tracking down monsters together, but how far do these features go?

Here’s whether The Witcher: Monster Slayer has multiplayer, co-op or PVP elements to it.

What Social Elements Does The Game Have?

The Witcher: Monster Slayer, like most of its location-based predecessors, does have a range of social features.

Players can add their fellow Witchers through a friend code feature, much like Pokemon GO.

From there, players have the options to send gifts to those on their friend list, containing either herbs and roots or monster parts or powdered monster tissue to help them with crafting. And, of course, they can return the favour.

Does The Witcher: Monster Slayer Have Any Other Multiplayer, Co-op or PVP Modes?

Aside from the aforementioned social features, there are no other multiplayer, co-op or PVP modes.

However, in an interview with DualShockers’, Maciej Rosiński – Game Designer & Design Lead on The Witcher: Monster Slayer stated that “Regarding any other features, we are patiently waiting for the feedback from our players — we would love to hear them out and see what their expectations and experiences are.” Meaning that it could one day become a reality.

Ultimately though, these games are about the social experience – going out and hunting monsters with friends!
