The main protagonist of the best-selling manga series in the world, One Piece, is often recognized for his large arsenal and variety of attacks and abilities that he uses against his opponents.
This also includes many of his iconic gear transformations, which range up to Gear 5, something which was revealed recently. Gear 5 also brought with itself one of the strongest attacks Luffy has unleashed yet, that being the Bajrang Gun, the attack he used to finally take down Kaido, sending him crashing down.
However, this is not the most powerful attack that Luffy has ever shown the audience, turns out there is another ability that has been used only once in the whole series, and requires the assistance of three other straw hat pirates to pull it off.
Luffy’s Attack In One Piece That Is Stronger Than Bajrang Gun
While Gear 5 might have been the strongest transformation yet with the strongest set of abilities in the history of One Piece, there is still one attack that was used way back and took the help of Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp to pull off.
In the One Piece Movie: The Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle, the straw hat pirates come up with a brilliant plan to carry out an attack on the whole of the castle to destroy it at once.
It included Luffy using Gomu Gomu no Fusen while twisting his body to launch himself above using the stored air. Luffy then proceeds to stretch out his arms towards the target whereas Usopp fires a cannonball towards – Sanji Armée de L’air Hana shoots it towards – Zoro who then uses Hyakuhachi Pound Ho at the ball launching it towards Luffy. He then absorbs the momentum of the ball within himself, allowing him to release a moment later, almost becoming like a giant rotary blade. This attack is called Gomu Gomu no Kaiten Ono.
How Gomu Gomu no Kaiten Ono Can Be Made Better?
It is important to note that when using it for the first time, Luffy was not using his armament haki, and was not as strong as he is now. His new ability to manipulate his body and environment freely as it was rubber allows him to theoretically cut out the needs of the other members of the Straw Hat Pirates and do it on his own.
What makes this attack intimidating is how it has been showcased before. Luffy has used it to cut down the whole of Ratchet’s Castle in half, and if it was not for Sanji and Zoro, he would have continued to cut down and destroy the whole island too.
