“Perez secretly sending his application for Ferrari” – Fans react to Red Bull’s Elvis Presley-themed Las Vegas GP suits that almost look like Scuderia copy

The Las Vegas GP is only a few hours away and everyone is currently preparing for the most anticipated race of the 2023 season. This event is being set up to be the grandest Formula 1 race in history with the franchise’s parent company, Liberty Media, shelling out $500 million for organizing it. To suit the occasion, current World Champion team Red Bull decided to step up their fashion game. Thus, the Milton-Keynes outfit realised special Elvis Presley-themed outfits for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez on their official X handle.

The unconventional racing suits for the Red Bull teammates have one of them (Perez) in an all-red overall while the other (Verstappen) has to wear the all-white one. Naturally, Sergio Perez‘s racing suit for Las Vegas looks uncannily similar to Ferrari’s driver outfits. This has led the fans to make fun of Red Bull for trying to duplicate their rivals’ overalls. But some of them even poked fun at the Presley-themed design.

The Red Bull racing suits for Las Vegas’s night race come in a combination of red and white. On Max’s white suit, there are polka dots in red and on Checo’s suit, the dots are white against a red background. Sergio Perez’s chances of retaining his seat at Red Bull, after his dismal performances this season as compared to Max, have been a major point of discussion in F1 town recently. But seeing him in an almost Scuderia-like all-red outfit made some fans claim this is his way of ‘sendinh a secret application’ to Ferrari for a seat at their squad.

Fans claim Red Bull’s Las Vegas racing suit is the reason behind Max Verstappen’s sullen mood

From calling the Las Vegas GP a clown show to saying that it has 99% entertainment and only 1% racing, Max Verstappen has blasted the newest addition to F1’s American roster many times. He even went after the FIA for cancelling the audience’s entrance to the Grandstands during FP2 even though they had bought tickets for the event. Max Verstappen has never attacked the organizers of any Formula One race in such a vivid manner and fans now believe they know why Max’s mood in Vegas is so sullen.

The F1 fans have claimed after one look at the special Red Bull suit for Max Verstappen that its horrible look is the reason behind the reigning Champion’s sullen mood. Here is what they have said in response to the new racing suit design:

Max is all of us back when our parents forced us to dress up for church or the holidays.

This does explain Max' anger. The GP sucks. The show sucks. Everything about it sucks.

But none of it is as bad as Max' suit. Darn.

Now we know why Max has been hating everything about this GP 😂

No wonder Max has been so annoyed all weekend, knowing he was going to have to wear this for the race

Can I please hear what Max had to say about this!? Lmao.

Max is sick and tired I know it lmao

On other news, Max Verstappen has spoken out on the fact that the FIA never apologized to the fans for cancelling their FP2 tickets. He called out the governing body of Formula One for offering $200 coupons to the fans as compensation for preventing them from watching an event they had paid for. Max Verstappen even said that, had he been in those deprived fans’ shoes, he would have burned the place down.
