So did a few things.
1) There is a 5 Amp fuse in the socket. I had it checked out and it is fine
2) Opened the big black box. Unsurprisingly it is only a step down transformer (see photo).
3) The cable from the transformer splits into 2.. one to the motor and the second to the switch
4) The motor and the hydraulic is one unit (white in colour in the photo). It has a do not open written on it - so skeptic about opening it.
5) The recliner is in the deployed mode. I need to get it back into the 'sit' mode. I dont really need it to recline but need the space to sit on it. I had a look at the mechanism underneath and looks a bit Heath Robinson to me..
If i can get away with it, then i can get another summer with the sofa before picking up a new one in the next DFS winter sale (or somehting like that)
