An opening ceremony takes place in Aiyen’s hometown. When the festivities are complete, Aiyen will take Vikir out on a hunting trip. On their way out to hunt, they ran with Ahun, a leader in the Ballak tribe who held the same rank as Aiyen. Ahun dislikes Vikir and kicks him because of that. Because of doing this, he has earned the ire of Aiyen. While on a hunt, Ahun asks her how she plans to treat an injured person like himself. Aiyen didn’t bother responding because Vikir had already proven his strength by taking his arrows. When Ahun sees Vikir, he becomes enraged and starts to attack him, but Aiyen intervenes.

Avoid hurting his salves, Aiyen advises. For disrespecting a Ballak warrior, Ahan informs her, he must face punishment. Aiyen is aware that Ahan will stay until she gets her revenge on Vikir.
