Ringside footage captures Naoya Inoue leaving rival in agony after hammering body shots in KO

You wouldn't want to find yourself on the other end of a Naoya Inoue body shot and Michael Dasmarinas can attest to that.

The pair fought in 2021 when Inoue defended his IBF and WBA bantamweight world titles, but it did not last long with the man from Japan landing the knockout blow in round three.

A left hook to the body in round three marked the beginning of the end, as Dasmarinas collapsed to the canvas.

The Filipino writhed around on the floor in agony, but somehow made it back to his feet before the end of the referee's count.

Despite this brave effort, Inoue pounced once again and moments later dropped Dasmarinas with another crushing body shot.

This time the referee had seen enough, as Dasmarinas was noticeably in pain and could not continue.

More on big knockouts

Inoue will be hoping for a similar ending when he comes up against Stephen Fulton on July 25 in Japan.

'The Monster' knocked out Paul Butler last time out to claim the undisputed bantamweight titles.

And now he is moving up to super bantamweight in the hopes of taking Fulton's WBC and WBO belts.
