Canelo Alvarez dropped Jermell Charlo on his way to an unanimous decision victory on Saturday night.
The two men clashed in Las Vegas for the undisputed super-middleweight world titles and it was the Mexican who came out on top on the judges' scorecards, with the help of a knockdown in round seven.

The fight began extremely tentatively, with both men throwing barely any punches in the opening round.
But, over the next two rounds Canelo began to open up a little, as he pinned his opponent against the ropes on a few occasions and unleashed his power punches, although Charlo absorbed them well.
By this point, Canelo had established himself as the aggressor, stalking Charlo around the ring and noticeably targeting the body.
Towards the end of round five, however, Canelo over-committed a couple of times and Charlo capitalised well landing some heavy shots on the Mexican.

Ultimately though, Canelo appeared to be building a lead on the judges' scorecards by the halfway point of the fight, as Charlo was simply not throwing enough punches in comparison.
And in round seven, Canelo's dominance shone through, as ringside footage shows him catching Charlo with an overhand right followed by an uppercut to drop him for only the second time in his career.
Charlo made it back to his feet and survived to the end of the round, recovering well, despite Canelo's relentless pressure.
The American attempted to get himself back into the fight, enjoying some success from impressive combinations, but the Mexican never looked out of his stride.

As the fight entered the championship rounds, Charlo was urged to push for the stoppage by his corner, but if anything, it was Canelo who seemed more eager for a knockout.
Neither man managed it though, as the fight went the distance and the Mexican emerged victorious on points to defend his undisputed super middleweight world titles
In his post-fight interview, Canelo said: "This Canelo - nobody can beat this Canelo. I love boxing so f***ing much, boxing is my life."
And when asked whether his next fight might come against David Benavidez, Canelo replied: "I don't know. I don't f***ing care."
As for Charlo, he said he would be returning to the 154 lb division, having jumped up two weight classes for this fight, and he called out undisputed welterweight world champion Terence Crawford.
