Rumors Heat Up That New Nintendo Switch Pro Reveal Coming on Thursday

Secrets are hard to keep at the best of times, but around E3, they become near impossible as people hunt high and low for the scoop.

One of the current worst kept secrets in video games is the “New Super Nintendo Switch Pro” or some variant of that name.

For the past few months, rumors have been gathering steam that Nintendo will have an upgraded Switch Pro model to reveal at some point soon and now, those rumors are reaching a boiling point.

What’s the Story So Far?

The rumblings initially started with Bloomberg, who gained information that Nintendo was working on an upgraded model of the Switch – as they have done with previous handheld consoles.

These were taken further with reports on ResetEra sharing some of the new console’s technical specs.

Most recently, more reports from Bloomberg came out, stating Nintendo is in fact ready to reveal the console pre-E3, to allow developers to show off their games on the Switch Pro. It’s reportedly due for release in September/October.

What’s the Latest on the Nintendo Switch Pro Reveal Date?

Recently, it was reported that Nintendo would be revealing the Nintendo Switch Pro as early as this Thursday, June 3.

These rumors have gained a little more credibility now thanks to Centro Leaks.

They report that they have seen and verified a screenshot that suggests a “new hardware-related listing will go live on June 4”.

While it’s easy to say these things, Centro Leaks were instrumental in leaking information about the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes and were one of the first to do so.

We have received and verified a screenshot from a big retailer's internal system that shows a new Switch hardware-related listing will go live on June 4 (around midnight).

That's all we have for now, there's no other data / attributes in the listing right now.
