The Splitgate servers are down once again today (August 25), but this time it’s for planned scheduled downtime.
If you’ve just jumped online to get your daily dose of Splitgate, you’re probably sorely disappointed to find out that the servers are currently offline.
Unfortunately, the news gets worse, as they’ll be down for a total of 12 hours. Here’s everything we know about the large downtime, including what the server outage is actually for.

Splitgate Servers Taken Down Today (August 25)
1047 Games, the developers of popular FPS title Splitgate, took to Twitter to announce that the servers would be taken down on August 25 for a total of 12 hours.
If you want to know the full server downtime schedule in your timezone, check out the times below:
- 12AM PT – 12PM PT
- 3AM ET – 3PM ET
- 8AM BST – 8PM BST

So, why have the servers been taken offline? Is an update arriving for Splitgate once things are operational again?
Developers Tease “True Splitgate Experience”, What’s Coming?
The Splitgate developers went on to state that there aren’t actually any issues with the servers and that the 12-hour outage is planned.
A “true Splitgate experience” was teased for when the servers come back online, with the developers also stating that players should use this time wisely to prepare for what’s to come.
Many fans were likely left confused by the cryptic message from the developers, but it’s actually related to Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event.
1047 Games will participate in the event with their very own presentation, likely revealing something special related to Splitgate.
The servers will be back online 1 hour after Opening Night Live begins, so fans can expect a big announcement followed by the return of the servers, hopefully with something special for fans when they jump back in.
