In the U.K., John Frieda’s leading colorists Nicola Clarke, Zoe Irwin, Cetera Lamb, and Shannon Gallacher have come together to create a specialist color service to identify the most flattering shade of red for their clients, taking account of skin tone, eye color, wardrobe, and hair texture. “I might use a soft color glaze, rich deep pigment, or multidimensional tones to create the perfect color to enhance someone’s skin tone,” explains Nicola Clarke, John Frieda Salons creative color director. And that includes keeping the base brunette and layering a strawberry shade infusion over the top.
