If you've been wanting to check out The Crew 2 without having to stump up the cash, now you can as The Crew 2 will be free to play this weekend.
From December 5 through to December 8, you can get hands-on with The Crew 2. You will be able to travel across the entirety of a re-designed America — not just by land, but by sea and air too. Travelling from coast to coast, players can explore America and compete to become the greatest motorsports champion, while collecting a variety of cars, bikes, boats and planes.
You will also have access to the full game including its newest update, Blazing Shots which brings PvE competitions and Live Summit events where players must reach the top of the leaderboard to win rewards based on their ranking.
As with most racing games, the achievement list is pretty tough, so it's unlikely you're going to be finishing it off in the few days that you have. If you're really interested, you could grab a few of the game's earlier achievements.
The Crew 2 and its season pass will be discounted by up to 70%, and if you do decide to make a purchase, all your progress and achievements will carry over.
We've also picked up news that sandbox vehicle creation game is going free-to-play over the same weekend period. As we saw back at EGX Rezzed in 2018 Trailmakers allows players to construct vehicles to race and solve problems. The game has a Campaign during which players will have to continuously adjust their vehicle's construction in order to overcome a variety of objectives, while Sandbox mode gives players freedom to use any vehicle parts. Although only 160 of our community members have played it, Trailmakers has a healthy 4.1 community rating. With only 10 completions it's hard to say whether the Trailmakers achievements list is attainable over the weekend, but there are plenty of guides available on each achievement if you want to go for it.
