I don't know what is happening currently, but when those UP engines do venture into Alberta they go up to Calgary, not Medicine Hat. Photo's are available on the net, I'm just not sure where.
Oddly enough I saw on one of those RR tourist films that PBS runs on Saturday afternoon's, that the loco's run from Portland, OR to Calgary as a mix of CP and UP power. They mentioned this to explain why there were CP engines and Government of Canada covered grain hoppers that far south in Washington state.
