The launch of Season 2 has brought a bunch of new content to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, including an all-new Battle Pass, a new map for Warzone 2, and three new weapons. Season 2 also brings out new Faction Missions for Warzone 2’s DMZ mode, some of which can be remarkably difficult to complete. Such is the case with the White Lotus Mission: Break Check.

Break Check is the Tier 2 Mission for the White Lotus Faction, and tasks players with locating a hard drive and delivering it into a Dumpster Dead Drop. Although the mission briefing may seem simple enough, the locations of both the Ashika Security Hard Drive and the Dead Drop you need to deliver it to are pretty obscure. Luckily, this guide will show you how to complete the Break Check mission for DMZ.

Finding The Ashika Security Hard Drive

where to find the Ashika Security Hard Drive in DMZ for Break Check

Despite what the name of the hard drive suggests, the Ashika Security Hard Drive cannot be found on Ashika Island. Instead, you will need to deploy into Al Mazrah to obtain it. The hard drive is located on the southeast portion of Zaya Observatory, under the wreckage of a flipped car. Be on the lookout when heading to this location, as it can be a fairly contested spot among players. On your way here, you may encounter other players trying to secure the hard drive – or even the Weapon Case that may spawn at Zaya Observatory.

If you cannot find the hard drive upon heading to the wreckage, then another player has already grabbed it. You can attempt to track down and eliminate the player who managed to take it, and then loot it from their inventory – otherwise, you will have to try again in a separate match.

Visiting the wreckage at Zaya Observatory will complete the first stage of the mission, but if you want to complete the second, you will need to grab the hard drive and successfully exfil with it in your inventory. We suggest heading straight to the nearest exfil point. However, if you want a stealthier exit out of Al Mazrah, then complete a Hostage Rescue contract.

Once you have successfully extracted out of Al Mazrah with the hard drive, it should remain in your inventory ready for the final part of the mission.

Dropping The Hard Drive In The Waterways Dead Drop On Ashika Island

To complete the final part of the Break Check mission, you will need to drop the hard drive at the Waterways Dumpster Dead Drop on Ashika Island. You can enter the Waterways through Port Ashika, though we recommend you secure some good weapons, a Self-Revive Kit, and at least a 2-Plate Amour Vest before heading here. This is because a great deal of AI patrol this area, along with two Juggernauts.

When you are ready, head to Port Ashika and enter the Waterway via the walkway on the right-hand side of this area. Follow the walkway all the way into the Waterway (battling any AI you come across) and you will eventually find the Dumpster Dead Drop – which is located underneath Tsuki Castle. Pop the Ashika Security Hard Drive into the dumpster to complete the final stage of the mission.

If at any point you and your squad are eliminated with the hard drive in your inventory, you will have to obtain it again in Al Mazrah. Try storing multiple drives in your Mission Item stash if you are having trouble with the last portion of this mission.
