Last month, we saw Blizzard celebrate its 30th anniversary in the run-up to its BlizzConline. In honour, fans took to the drawing board and produced a ton of art and also concept illustrations for its biggest games. In Overwatch, the game has just got a big update that has seen enhancements for Xbox Series X/S players and a “Preferred Mode” graphics option in the game that allows gamers to access one of three brand new settings.
With Overwatch competitive season 27 now live, let’s take a look at one of the game’s coolest characters, Widowmaker, whose wonderfully cosplayed by the mind-blowingly talented Alyson Tabbitha.
If this is your first time hearing about professional cosplayer Alyson Tabbitha, then you have a hell of a lot to catch up on. Tabbitha has been the face of many cosplays over the years and her range of skill knows no limits. Easily slipping inside the minds of characters that include The Joker, Wonderwoman, Wanda from Wandavision, and even an amazing portrayal of Jareth (David Bowie) from Labyrinth.
Although Tabbitha’s Widowmaker cosplay has been around for a while now, it very much deserves to be brought back out of the cosplay vault so those who missed it the first time around, can experience how wonderfully amazing and detailed Tabbitha’s handmade costume truly is.
After working for a solid two months on her Widowmaker outfit where she states that it was pretty stressful due to all the details needed for it, Tabbitha finally completed it just in time for her to showcase it at Cosplay America. I think you’d agree that the hours she poured into this cosplay has been well worth the stress. As of right now, there’s no official release date for Overwatch 2 but it’s currently set to release sometime in 2022.
